About

Baltasar Manzano is a Professor of Economics at the University of Vigo and a Visiting Researcher in the Energy Macro and Microeconomics Program at KAPSARC since 2014. He has served as an Economic Advisor to the President of Galicia and holds a Ph.D. in economics from Universidad Complutense in Madrid. His academic contributions focus on the intersection of macroeconomics and energy, with a particular interest in dynamic stochastic general equilibrium models, public economics, and optimal policy. His work integrates energy systems with broader economic frameworks to address contemporary challenges in energy and the environment.
